Cisitalia (1946-1963) was an Italian sports and racing car brand. The name "Cisitalia" derives from "Consorzio Industriale Sportiva Italia", a business conglomerate founded in Turin in 1946 and controlled by the wealthy businessman, Italian soccer player and racing driver Piero Dusio (1899-1975). Company Cisitalia involved Austrian-Italian automobile designer Carlo Abarth (1908-1979), Austrian automobile designer and engineer Rudolf Hruska (1915-1995) and Austrian technical automobile designer and automaker-entrepreneur Ferdinand Anton Ernst Porsche (Ferry Porsche) (1909-1998).
